What is Botox®/Dysport®?

Botox®/Dysport® FAQs

  • Treatment involves injecting the appropriate muscle with a very tiny needle. During treatment you will experience a small pin-prick that does not require anesthetic. Immediately after treatment, you may resume your day. Intense exercise should be avoided for 24 hours following treatment.

  • Mild bruising is sometimes seen and goes away within 2-3 days. In rare cases, there can be a slight drooping of an eyelid or mild asymmetry of expression, which can easily be corrected.

  • Botox® and Dysport® are best performed by highly trained and experienced providers. The cosmetic dosage for both neurotoxins is extremely diluted and widely recognized as incredibly safe. In 2020 nearly 4.5 million neurotoxin treatments were performed in the United States.
